For two days in October, top global IT-BPO and Global In-house Centers (GICs) leaders and client-side executives will debate the future of the industry, providing insights into a fast-emerging, new age of offshore outsourcing that is expanding opportunities but creating new and complex challenges. Those challenges will dramatically transform the industry. Interest is high, and over 60 speakers and panelists and 400 delegates are expected for the third annual International Outsourcing Summit, which takes place in the world’s number one center for voice-based services and number two in non-voice, complex services—Manila, Philippines.

The Summit agenda features all new topics that reflect new industry realities. They include an examination of today's leading IT-BPO and GICs country leaders, and what’s in store over the next five years. Presenters and panelists from leading services providers will engage in a discussion of the growing complexity of client expectations, including innovation and its management. HR experts will provide their perspective on the pressure to ensure stable talent supply of bright, motivated knowledge workers. And this year, a look at what gets outsourced next, particularly in the area of fundamental research and development.

While designed for the global industry, this year's Summit will also review progress towards the strategic objectives provided in the Philippines’ IT-BPO Road Map 2011-2016. The IT-BPO Road Map 2011-2016 identified key opportunities and risks for the Philippines to take advantage of growth in the IT-BPO industry. Existing and emerging locators are working diligently to successfully replicate the Philippines' success, making competition in the industry fiercer, not only in terms of costs, but more importantly in terms of labor provision, talent management, technology and service innovation, specialization, and the capability of delivering high-value, complex services.
