US President TrumpThe IT-Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP) has expressed confidence that the country’s business process outsourcing (BPO) will continue to thrive despite US President Donald Trump’s anti-outsourcing policies.

IBPAP President and Chief Executive Ike Amigo said the BPO sector will continue its progress in terms of economic development and job generation if it can collaboratively harness its respective strengths. The group said BPO firms’ optimism stemmed from the interest of many countries in investing in the Philippine IT-BPM services. These countries include not only the United States, but also Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Canada and India.
