Property services and investment management firm Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) said Manila’s growing and globally competitive business process outsourcing (BPO) sector continues to support the capital’s dynamic office market. This makes Manila the world’s 19th most dynamic city and one of the world’s ‘Emerging Megacities’, JLL said.
Manila’s ranking is considered notable considering that this was the first time that the city was included in the Global Top 30 of the City Momentum Index (CMI) since it was first published in 2014. The JLL report said growth in domestic corporations and foreign direct investment into areas such as BPO is helping to fuel the fastest economic growth out of all the CMI cities. For this year, Bangalore was identified by the CMI 2017 as the most dynamic city, followed by Ho Chi Minh City, Silicon Valley, Shanghai and Hyderabad.
